BOT Debates Updated Master Plan
Several months ago, the Village of Roslyn received a minor surprise when an Appellate Court Judge deemed that its Comprehensive Master Plan and new zoning code had failed to receive full Nassau County approval. More specifically, both the plan and the code had not received a necessary recommendation by the Nassau County Planning Commission.

Next BOT Meeting April 3
The scheduled Feb. 6 meeting of the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees was canceled when it was learned that not enough BOT members would be present to have a quorum. At least three of the five BOT members must show up at a meeting for it to go forward.

RHS Tennis Champions
Roslyn High School students Jennifer Sussman and Tara Devito, Nassau County Girls Doubles champions, will be presented with the 2000 Scholastic Award at the Eleventh Annual Awards Dinner, to be held at the Melville Marriott, Melville, on March 5. The awards presentation is sponsored by the United States Tennis Association, Eastern Long Island Region.

Medals for Roslyn Wrestlers
Three Roslyn High School junior varsity wrestlers recently took first place gold medals in their respective weight classes at the Great Neck Invitational Junior Varsity tournament, held Jan. 27. Sam Neill won first place in the 114 lb. weight class, section A; Eric Paulenoff won first place in the 114 lb. weight class section C, while Michael Sloyer won first place in the 127 lb. weight class.
