Back in January, the Village of Roslyn board of trustees voted to authorize some limited parking on Davis Lane. The BOT did so for a six-month trial period. At its last meeting, with the trial period coming to an end, the BOT took up the issue again, but decided it would need more testimony from Davis Lane-area residents before extending or terminating the current parking situation. Last Saturday evening, June 23, Roslyn High School held its graduation ceremonies for the class of 2001 at The Tilles Center on the C.W. Post University campus. Singled out for special recognition were seniors Jay Goldklang and Allison Liebhaber, both of whom were named as the co-valedictorians for the class. The Roslyn Little League Dodgers won the semi-major division with an outstanding playoff performance. Under the strict, yet superb, managing of Barry Simon and assistant coaches Bruce Goldman and Paul Levy, this highly under-rated team pulled out a miraculous post-season to win the championship. Each and every team member made a clutch contribution to achieve their great win. The team members are Corey Kutcher, Adam Sapper, Esdras Cabral, Justin Eng and Brian Sherwin, Mason Schwartz, Gregory Goldman, Jason Simon, Conner Seidman and Chad Levy.
