No Cause Given for Oct. 8 Fire
Officials with the Nassau County Fire Marshal Offices have given no causes behind the large fire that occurred Feb. 8 on Tower Place in downtown Roslyn. Joseph Whittaker, the fire marshal who conducted the investigation said the undetermined label on the fire would officially remain in place until and unless more research on the ruined building site is completed.

Jacobson Goes Out A Winner
After 20 years at the helm of the Roslyn High School girls varsity tennis coach, Lynn Jacobson is retiring. Her final season, like most during her tenure, was a memorable one. The Lady Bulldogs went undefeated, sporting a 16-0 record while winning their second consecutive Nassau County championship.

Nassau County residents, ages 3 and up, are invited to lace up their skates this winter and register for ice skating lessons at the outdoor Christopher Morley Park Ice Rink. Participants can reap the benefits of exercise, have fun and improve their skating skills, or learn a new skill.
