Garden Dedication for WTC Victims
Over 400 people, including residents, firefighters, family members of the victims, and guests gathered in East Hills on Monday, September 10 to attend a memorial in honor of the 18 Roslyn area residents who perished on September 11, 2001.

'Remembrance Day' Ceremonies in Roslyn
Up to 250 local residents rose early and traveled to downtown Roslyn last Wednesday to attend a "Remembrance Day" on the first anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The ceremony was organized by the Village of Roslyn and included both local dignitaries and members of the Roslyn Rescue and Roslyn Highlands fire companies.

Team Sid Jacobson Competes at Maccabi Games
This summer marked the 20th anniversary of the JCC Maccabi Games, the largest Olympic-style event for Jewish teenagers ages 13-16 in the world. The games encompass individual as well as team sports, and non-athletic activities, such as a "Day of Caring and Sharing." This year the Sid Jacobson JCC of East Hills sent 53 of their finest athletes, including three Israeli athletes from the JCC's sister community center, Kiryat Yovel in Jerusalem, Israel to Montreal, Canada from Aug. 18-23 to participate in girls and boys basketball, girls and boys soccer and boys golf.
