Third Annual Run for Heroes Sept. 11
Runners of all ages and abilities will come together in the 3rd annual Run for Heroes at the Glenwood Landing Firehouse on Saturday, September 11. The event honors the life and memory of Battalion Chief John Paolillo, a Glen Head resident and avid runner lost in the World Trade Center collapse.

Local Players in Charity Tournament
More than 300 men and women tennis players including more than a dozen from Manhasset, Roslyn, Port Washington and East Williston demonstrated solid tennis skills - - as well as a strong commitment to an important charitable cause - - when they participated in the 7th Annual North Shore Sweethearts Tennis Tournament at the Shelter Rock Tennis Club in Manhasset, from July 25-August 1.
