Despite a season-ending injury to senior guard Tiara Augustine, the Roslyn High School Lady Bulldogs have continued to play competitive basketball as the 2004-2205 season moves into the new year.

The Lady Bulldogs won two games in division play in the past two weeks, defeating Jericho, Island Trees and Glen Cove.

On Jan. 15, Roslyn topped Jericho, 65-42. Erin Finestone scored a career high 18 points, 11 of which came in the third quarter when Roslyn outscored Jericho, 26-6. In the scoring parade, Ms. Finestone was followed by Lexie Klapper (13 points), Shay Abinogye (10 points), Dani Arouty (9 points), and Marissa Ball, who added 8 points in the win.

Earlier in the month, the Lady Bulldogs were defeated by Island Trees, 40-27. Lexie Klapper, Erin Finestone, and Morgan Carella each scored 9 points.

In the big 55-14 win over Glen Cove, Lexie Klapper scored 16 points, followed by Erin Finestone, Morgan Carella and Marissa Ball, all of whom had 8 points.

On Jan. 19, the Lady Bulldogs lost to Floral Park, 58-37, as the team played without the services of Erin Finestone. Morgan Carella scored 14 points in the loss.
