We have finally learned the truth. State Comptroller Alan Hevesi's Report clearly indicates where the problem existed in terms of the financial scandal in the Roslyn Schools. Where were the auditors? Where was the board of education to whom the auditors reported? Each year Mr. Miller presented a glowing report to the board of education and the superintendent. He sung the praises of Ms. Gluckin, the assistant superintendent for business.
Why was our hard working, diligent superintendent arrested? Was he "set up" by Ms. Gluckin and Mr. Miller? In this country, a person is innocent until proven guilty. Roslyn residents did not behave that way in the case of Dr. Tassone. Even the article in New York magazine never used the world "alleged." The reporting in that article was biased and unworthy of print.
I think the truth is finally evolving. Let's see Mr. Miller, Lilly and Pearce get arrested. Let's see the district attorney do the right thing this time.
