Irene Corso, formerly of Dothan, AL and Roslyn, died on Feb. 19, 2005. She was predeceased by her husbands, Tony Saverino and Joseph Corso; sister Ida Mae; brothers John Henry, George, A.Z., Frank, and Perry; father and mother, John and Claudie Mae Hughes. She is survived by her son John (Lauren), of Glen Cove; granddaughters, Danielle and Kathleen; son Edward; sister Grace McCracken of Winter Haven, FL, and brother John Wesley Hughes of Dothan; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Interment service LI National Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Jude or National Parkinson Foundation. Vincent C. Ellis Jr., of Roslyn, died on March 5, 2005 at the age of 93. He was a deacon and elder of the Roslyn Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Alice; daughter Bonnie Butler; stepson Richard Wood; stepdaughter Betty Ann Beard; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Funeral service at the funeral home. Interment private.
