During the winter, the girls and boys at Charles Water Karate & Fitness, located at 122 Hillside Ave. in Williston Park, spent three days, three hours at Boot Camp.

This boot camp included a Creative Form Tournament and a Team Sparring Tournament. All of the students worked together and the winning team received trophies.

Then there was the physical prowess demonstrated by al. In a course of three days everyone did a total of 1,000 jumping jacks, 750 pushups, 150 gut busters, 100 squat hops, 1,000 kicks and 500 crunches. Students participated in a creative Team Obstacle Course and broke through all challenges by breaking a piece of wood.

These were the participants who proved to themselves that not only is anything possible, but it is fun and gratifying when you succeed.
