The vote on the budget for the 2005-2006 school year will take place on Tuesday, May 17 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Roslyn High School. The following will be on the ballot:

* The Roslyn School District's proposed budget for the 2005-06 school year of $80,474,982;

* The Bryant Library's proposed budget for 2005-2006 of $4,287,230. Details of the library budget can be obtained by calling the library at 621-2240;

* Voters are asked to authorize transfer of $5,112,219 from the fund balance to the capital account in order to undertake capital improvement projects throughout the district, with no additional increase in property taxes; and

* Election of three trustees to serve on the board of education. The two candidates receiving the most votes will each be elected to a full three-year term; the candidate receiving the third highest number of votes will be elected to complete an unexpired term which ends on June 30, 2006. The names of the candidates in the order in which they will appear on the ballot

are: Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy, Clifford Saffron, Jeffrey Borowick and Jeffrey Sapper.
