At the recent Nassau County High School Softball Awards Benefit held on June 6 at the Cold Spring Harbor Country Club, four Roslyn High School girls were honored.
Erin Finestone, a senior shortstop was named an All-County recipient. She was also selected to play in the Annual Senior All Star Game, one that took place on Friday, June 17. Finestone, who had more than 100 hits during her Roslyn High School career, batted .515 for League A Conference Two play. A starter at shortstop since her freshman year, Finestone batted .505 in her junior year. In 2005, she was one of only three players chosen for All County in Conference Two.
Rachel Karnofsky, a junior catcher received All Conference honors. Karnofsky hit .435 and caught all 22 games this past season.
All Division honors went to Carly Miller, a centerfielder for the Lady Bulldogs and Alex Foukalis, a star pitcher, who has started since she was an eighth grader for the Lady Bulldogs.
