Three days of golf action for charity - - including a one-day Celebrity Junior-Am tournament and a two-day competition for advanced junior players - - will be held from Aug, 15-17, at The Woodcrest Club in Syosset.

Called the G_ Junior Golf Tour (G_ stands for "Got Guts Golf"), the project has been created and is being managed by the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). The Celebrity Junior-Am is open to golfers of all ages and abilities who pay the entry fee; while the G_ Greater New York Junior Golf Challenge is geared for high-performing boy and girl golfers between he ages of 7 and 19.

The schedule for the inaugural event will include:

Monday, Aug. 15 - a Celebrity Junior-Am Tournament that will match-up one celebrity with one top-rated junior player and three amateur event sponsors.

Tuesday, Aug. 16 and Wednesday, Aug. 17 - A field of approximately 100 junior golfers divided into seven age divisions (Boys 7-9, 10-12, 13-15 and 16-19 and Girls 7-10, 11-14 and 15-19) will compete both days in the G_ Greater NY Junior Golf Challenge.
