On June 13, FAST (Foundation for the Advancement of Student Technology) held its fourth annual Golf & Tennis Classic at Glen Head Country Club. This year as in previous years, the turnout and support was exceptional. Additionally, this year FAST chose to honor David Diamond, a founding member of FAST, who gives tirelessly to the Roslyn School District and community.

The day started off with a beautiful breakfast, getting everyone ready for the day's festivities. A light lunch was served on the golf course with beverage breaks along the way. The evening was filled with cocktails, a delicious dinner and dessert feast that was attended by many additional Roslyn residents, some attending just for dinner to support FAST's efforts in providing leading edge technology for our public school students.

Speeches were given by interim superintendent, David Helme, who gave praise to FAST's working relationship with the Roslyn schools, and our honoree, David Diamond who modestly spoke about how proud he was to be part of the Roslyn community and to be part of such a successful organization.

President Larry Cohen and Vice President Dr. Ron Richman welcomed everyone and awarded prizes for first through third place for gross and net scores. Tennis awards were presented by co-chairs Lyssa Goldberg and Stacey Litt. This was followed by fantastic raffles prizes and a silent auction, which included many items donated by Roslyn's local merchants and residents. A special thank you is extended to the FAST committee, for their hard work and dedication.
