On Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16, boys and girls who play in the Albertson Soccer Club will participate in the Kicking for Katrina victims event. On Oct. 15, it will take place in the Herricks Community Center, from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. and at the Herricks Middle School, from 2 to 3 p.m. On Oct. 16, it will take place at the Herricks Community Center, from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m., at Herricks High School, from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m., and at the Herricks Middle School, from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m.

For every goal scored by each team on those days, a monetary pledge is being asked as a contribution to the hurricane victims.

All monies will be sent to Habitat for Humanity, an organization, which aids in the rebuilding of homes lost to the hurricane.

A bake/drink sale will also take place to raise further donations.
