I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Assemblyman Tom DiNapoli for sponsoring the Family Health Fair on Oct. 30 in cooperation with North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. With all the negative publicity that public officials are garnering these days, it is refreshing to encounter Tom DiNapoli, an elected official who demonstrates his commitment to his constituents time and time again. This fair, which provided flu and pneumonia shots, free health screenings, not to mention great snacks, compliments of Whole Foods Market, represented what is right with government today.
