Cedarmere Museum will host "Celebrations of Christmas Past" on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.

The joy of the holiday season will be festively observed at Cedarmere Museum, the home of 19th century poet/editor William Cullen Bryant.

Visitors will gather in the beautiful Great Room, which will be furnished with Edwardian holiday décor.

Participatory readings of seasonal poetry, including A Visit from St. Nicholas, will be led by Long Island poet Maxwell Wheat, followed by a holiday sing-along around the grand piano.

Admission for the celebration is $8 for adults and $4 for children (4-14 years old). Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are required.

Cedarmere is operated by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums and is located on Bryant Avenue in Roslyn Harbor, west of Glen Cove Road. For more information, call 571-8130.
