The Lam residence in Roslyn may or may not have the largest Christmas tree in their home, but that holiday is always a big event for them.

This year, the Lam family hosted their 19th annual Christmas party at their residence on Roslyn Road. The Lam family first started hosting the party when they lived in Manhattan. In 2000, the Lams moved to Roslyn so that Mikki Lam could be near her father, who was fighting prostate cancer.

Ms. Lam, who was born with polio, is a real estate agent, and in fact, the only wheelchair-mobile Realtor on both Long Island and the East Coast. In 1997, Ms. Lam received the President's Award from then-President Bill Clinton. The Lam family even spent an hour in the Oval Office, chatting with the president.

Ms. Lam said she got her passion for the Christmas season from her father. "Until this day, I have a child-like spirit for the holiday season and the joy of Christmas," she said. "In fact, my family nicknamed me 'Mrs. Claus on Wheels.'"
