Nassau County may have a new presiding officer come Jan. 3 if members of the 19-member legislature vote in favor of Roger Corbin (2nd L.D.), the current deputy presiding officer, over current seat holder Judy Jacobs (16th L.D.).

Roslyn-Trinity Busy at Christmas Time
The Christmas season has been a busy and rewarding time at the Roslyn-Trinity Cooperative day school. The children celebrated Thanksgiving with a luncheon followed by a fun sing-along with Co-op alumni parent Ilene Friedman and current parent Nell Reboh. In the true spirit of the season, all who attended this fun-filled day got to share with each other, feast with each other, and learn the true meaning of Thanksgiving. The festive event was held on the day before Thanksgiving at the school. Following the generous luncheon, all of the remaining food was donated to the INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network).

Wolverines Claw to 3-1 Start
The Roslyn Wolverines earned their third victory of the season with a thrilling 22 - 18 win over a strong Long Island Lightning team on December 18. The Wolverines, coached by Howie Busch, Jason Schwartz and Dave Roberts, are a fourth grade travel team playing at Island Garden and are now 3-1.
