Like many of the other longtime residents turned seniors, the school taxes in the Roslyn District were more than burdensome for us and we have moved from the village we loved.

New residents are great, but longtime residents who move out take history and tradition with them.

Equally galling was the way the school scandal has been handled. Six month sentences for criminals that affected the lives of many people like us only prompts others to commit similar crimes. Will we share in any of the restitution since we overpaid taxes for many years? Many of us have moved on.
