Lincoln's Birthday at Cedarmere
Cedarmere, the historic Roslyn home of 19th century poet and editor William Cullen Bryant, will commemorate Lincoln's Birthday with a presentation describing Bryant's role as an abolitionist and during the Civil War, as well as his relationship with President Lincoln. The event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Cedarmere's curator, Harrison Hunt, will be the speaker and the event will be held in the museum's Great Room.

Liberman to Receive Mazor Award
Roslyn High School basketball player Jason Liberman is the 2007 recipient of The Jules D. Mazor Award to the Outstanding Jewish High School Scholar Athlete of the Year Award, which will be presented by the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum at the April 29 inductions, which will be held at The Suffolk Y JCC in Commack.
