Robert Caro to Speak At Anniversary Dinner
The Village of Flower Hill's 75th Anniversary celebration will continue on March 24, with an evening dedicated to community spirit. The event, to be held at North Hempstead Country Club, will feature a buffet supper, live music and a talk by historian Robert A. Caro, the author of the Pulitzer Prize winning biography of Robert Moses, The Power Broker. Ten copies of The Power Broker, autographed by Caro, will be given away as door prizes that evening.

New Athletic Director for Wheatley
At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Feb. 12, the East Williston School District Board of Education appointed Thomas Fitzpatrick as the District's new Director of Physical Education, Athletics and Medical Services. His appointment will become effective on July 1. Tom will be replacing Dr. Fred Apgar, who will be retiring at the end of the current school year after having served as the director for the past seven years.
