Opinion

The Roslyn Village election will be held next Tuesday, March 18 and while it appears that the incumbents will be running unopposed, I would urge my fellow residents to participate in the process and vote for Marshall Bernstein and Craig Westergard. Both Marshall and Craig are dedicated, diligent public servants. Marshall has served the Village for over 25 years, giving his time and energy to both appointed and elected positions. He is our financial watchdog, who has always worked to keep taxes down, at the same time assuring our residents high levels of service. Craig has served for over a dozen years on both the Historic District Board and the Board of Trustees. His architectural background has been essential to us in the review of projects both large and small. Both these men are worthy of your continued support on Election Day.

John Durkin

Mayor, Village of Roslyn
