Roslyn is a wonderful school district. I know that, because I worked there as an administrator for 25 years. When I left in June of 2002, I received a wonderful send-off at my retirement party. I knew that people felt good about my tenure in Roslyn.
On March 18, Newsday reported on funds that were recouped by the District following the 2005 scandal. My picture was included in the article, making it appear that I was among those people who were criminally convicted of stealing money from the District. This was outrageous and misleading. The fact is that I entered into a civil settlement with the district over my contractual entitlements. I never stole any money from the District and I was never charged with any criminal conduct. It's very important to me that people in Roslyn know and understand that.
I always had the most successful and productive relationships with staff, students, parents and community members. Roslyn was my "family" for 25 years and will always be an important part of my life.
