On Wednesday, May 7, The United States Tennis Association (USTA) hosted the Eastern Long Island Region 18th Annual Awards Dinner at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Along with awards given out to many deserving tennis professionals, adult, and junior players, Missy Edelblum of East Hills, a ninth grader at Roslyn High School, was proud to be awarded the Number One Tennis Player in Girls 14s for the Eastern Long Island Region.

Next up for Missy, she hopes to bring home the gold when she participates in the 2008 JCC Maccabi Games as a member of the tennis team for the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center in Detroit, Michigan this August.
