The Herricks Boys Basketball team won the annual Coaches vs Cancer tournament. The Highlanders defeated cross town rival New Hyde Park Memorial High School in the finals by a score of 61-49.

Herricks junior Shaan Rahi was voted Most Valuable Player for the tournament.

Soccer Award

Boys and girls Soccer teams won the Sportsmanship Award for the 2008 fall season.
