Temple Beth Sholom’s Minyan Yeladeynu at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 8 and up, meets during the school year in the library.

Senior Pops Orchestra Production 

The Senior Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Stephen Michael Smith, will team up with the students of Huntington High School in an intergenerational concert on Sunday, March 17, at 2 p.m. in the Huntington High School auditorium located at 188 Oakwood Rd., Huntington. Some of the selections include “A Night on Bald Mountain” by Mussorgsky, “A Salute to the Big Apple” and  “Dances Fantasticas, Orgia” by Turina.  This concert is sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.  For further information, including driving directions, visit the website at www.seniorpops.org or call 414-1831.

Day Trip To Armstrong House 

The Senior Activity Committee at the Village of East Hills is sponsoring a trip to the Louis Armstrong House and Museum. The day also features lunch. The tour meets at the museum at 10:30 a.m. Lunch at LaStressa restaurant in Manhasset at 1:30 p.m. Cost: $35.00 per person for residents of East Hills; non-residents: $40.00 per person. On Tuesday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m., The Amsterdam at Harborside will host a Parade of Homes event.

The Men’s Club of Temple Beth Sholom presents: The Empire Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course. Join TBS on Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. The cost for Men’s Club Members and families are $60. For Non-Men’s Club Members are $65.

Pre-Pesach Dinner and Friday Night Live

Share the warmth of Shabbat with Rabbi Alan B. Lucas, Rabbi Jennifer Schlosberg, and Cantor Ofer Barnoy and company. Dinner is at 6:45 p.m. and services are at 7:30 p.m. Please make reservations for dinner with the temple office. All are welcome to join services.

Second Night Seder 

Join the Chai Society at 6 p.m. for the Temple Sinai 18th annual Second Night Seder. Rabbi Michael White and Cantor Sergei Schwartz will conduct services. A traditional catered Passover Seder, catered by V&Z caterers. Featuring: gefilte fish, chicken soup with matzoh balls, tossed salad, choice of brisket with gravy chicken on the bone, string beans, potato kugel, tsimmes, and Passover desserts. Reservations are required and must be accompanied by a payment in full. No reservations will be accepted after March 5. Cost: Adults $52, children 5-12 $25, children age 4 and under are free. Military Bridge And Dinner

No card playing experience necessary. Teams will win prizes. Groups of less than four will be paired together. Game starts at 7:30 p.m., followed by desert. Doors will open for dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost for residents: $20.00. Cost for non-residents: $25.00.
