Miri Eisin of the Israel Defense Force. Born in Great Neck, New York, Miri Eisin served in the Israeli intelligence community and retired from active duty at the rank of full colonel in 2004, one of only a small group of women to achieve the rank of colonel in the Israeli Military. After her twenty-year career in military intelligence, she was appointed as the Israeli government spokesman during the second Lebanon War and then took the position of the Israeli Prime Ministers international media advisor. Miri has been Israel’s face and voice, presenting Israel’s case to the media worldwide. This event is free of charge. All are welcome. The Roslyn-based Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) will host its 15th annual Golf Outing benefit, Monday, June 17 at The Muttontown Country Club, East Norwich. The benefit supports CAPS’ prevention-through-education student programs, which are offered at no cost to all elementary, middle and high schools in Nassau and Suffolk.
