Prime Time Butcher, located in Roslyn Heights and Woodbury, is raising funds for the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. From Memorial Day, May 25 through Independence Day, July 4, two percent of their sales will be donated to the breast cancer program.
“Although October is Breast Cancer Awareness month,” said breast cancer survivor and co-owner Denise Kreitzman (with husband Lou and son Josh), “we’re doing this now because this is the time everyone starts thinking about outdoor barbeques and that means more family dinners, backyard get-togethers and parties. We’re a busy butcher shop and if we donate a portion of our sales now that translates into more money for the hotline.” Kreitzman said that their selection of meats and poultry, prepared foods and catering proceeds are all part of the fund raising effort.
“It is through community support like this that our program is able to continue and flourish,” said Hillary Rutter, the director of the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. “We are grateful to the Kreitzman family for doing this on our behalf.”
The stores are located at 8045 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury, 921-6519 and 382 Willis Avenue in Roslyn Heights, 625-0032.
