Michael E. Philburn, formerly of Roslyn Heights, passed away on July 31, 2009. Husband of the late Jeanette M. Philburn. Father of Deborah Martinez, Michael Jr., Jacqueline and Christine  Trapane. Father-in-law of Gilbert Martinez, Ronald Trapane, Kathleen and father-in-law to be of William Anziano. Grandfather of Jessica, Andrea, Deanna, Kevin and Matthew.

After serving in the Army in Germany from 1958-1961, he was employed with Trans World Airlines. Michael was a long time community leader serving on the Nassau Suffolk School Board Association, Mineola School Board and the South Park Civic Association. He retired in Tucson, AZ, in 2003.
