I have had children in the Roslyn schools for the past 15 years and have been active in PTA and CCPA throughout that time. As a parent, I value the importance of high quality academics along with extracurricular activities that enable our students to grow in ways beyond what they can accomplish in the classroom. Dani, David and Ron have been strong supporters of the type of experiences that make our district special, from sports to music to theater, mock trial, art and science clubs, community service and anti-bias groups and more. These activities provide for the needs of students with all types of skills and interests.
As a community member and taxpayer, I appreciate that this support has been provided in a financially responsible way. In spite of rising costs that are beyond our school district’s control. Dani, David and Ron have worked hard to ensure that our students’ needs are provided for by budgets that have had some of the lowest annual increases we have seen in all of the years I have lived here. They have been willing and able to make the tough decisions, successfully balancing academic priorities and financial constraints. This year’s budget was passed by a unanimous board under Dani Kline’s leadership as board president. These three capable and qualified candidates have demonstrated both the desire and the ability to be the kind of board members who are good for our schools and our community. I hope you will join me on May 19 as I vote to support Dani Kline, David Seinfeld and Ron Smith for re-election to the Roslyn School Board.
