New York DECA’s 53rd Annual State Competition was recently held in Rochester. Roslyn High School maintained its reputation of excellence and high ranking with 12 top-10 finalists. Of Roslyn’s finalists, two were trophy winners, and two advanced to the DECA international level of competition being held in Anaheim, CA, on April 24. Individual members received medals in the following competitions: Jerry Li, Marketing Management; Kelsey Rosen, Wholesale Selling; Jared Faust, Decision Making Human Resources; Tiffany Sun, Decision Making Human Resources; Zach Busch, Decision Making Marketing; David Futoran, Job Interview; David Haime, Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan, National Qualifier; Sophie Friedfeld-Gebaide, Entrepreneurship Participating Event; Josh Vance, Hospitality & Tourism Professional Selling; Daniel Nissan, Sales Demonstration; Mark Perlman, third place Trophy Sales Demonstration and Alex Epprecht, third place Trophy Principles of Business Management and Administration, National Qualifier.
