Roslyn Heights residents Alice and Camellia Ye have qualified for the Metropolitan Swimming Junior Olympics to be held in West Nyack.
The swimmers will be competing for their club team Long Island Aquatic Club during the three-day competition. The team regularly sends swimmers to compete at regional and national competitions, and has already qualified seven swimmers for the USA Swimming Olympic Trials this summer.
“Alice and Camellia have aspirations to become nationally ranked swimmers in the future. Their hard work and experience at the junior level will help prepare them for the road that lies ahead,” said LIAC coach Ginny Nussbaum. “We look forward to their success this weekend.”
The Metropolitan Junior Olympics take place March 16 – 18.
