After last season’s tremendous success, the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer (MWCABC) has announced it will once again hold the Swing for a Cure at the lovely Village Club of Sands Point. “The Swing,” which will take place this year on Monday, May 21, is a signature event of the MWCABC and provides a great opportunity for tennis enthusiasts to gather for an important cause. Swing participants will enjoy a light breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by tennis drills, round robin play and a luncheon with raffle prizes. There will also be an assortment of vendors for those who love to shop.
Tennis players of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you don’t play tennis, please feel free to come for the luncheon. MWCABC is looking forward to seeing its dedicated friends and supporters again, and urges new participants to try Swing for a Cure this year.
To date, MWCABC has donated more than $2.2 million to breast cancer research and education programs. This will be the first fundraiser for 2012, and the primary recipient for this year will be announced soon.
