Connor Hehn, a North Shore eighth-grader who turned 14 in April, pitched a no-hitter for the Glen Cove Cougars on May 11 against the Bellport Blue Claws in Baseball Heaven. The game was scoreless until the Cougars scored in the seventh inning on a walk, a bunt and a series of hits. Hehn finished the seventh inning by getting two groundouts and the final strikeout to complete the no-hitter. Hehn walked two batters and struck out seven, winning the game by a final score of 6-0. Hehn has played for the Glen Cove Cougars since he was 7 years old, coached by Thom Cappobianco, Tom Scott and David Hehn.
