Alzheimer's Adult Day Health Care Program
At the United Presbyterian Residence, 378 Syosset-Woodbury Rd., Woodbury. Designed to assist families in caring for persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Open 7 days from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Program provides the following services: nursing, recreation therapy, social work, nutrition, rehabilitation therapy, a nutritious lunch and snacks which can accommodate a variety of therapeutic diets, a family support group and transportation to and from the program. Come spend the winter break at the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary. There's lots to see and do. Spend the week or just sign up for a day. Programs for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers
For information call the center ext. 342.- New Mother/New Baby Classes. New mothers can discuss and share their feelings with others. A certified facilitator leads the discussion with occasional guests such as pediatricians, nutritionists, rabbis and educators.
- Parent-Child Playland for 18 to 24 months by July 1. Parents share playtime, arts and crafts and songs and stories with their child.
- Mommy and Me for 22 to 35 months. A two-part program designed to facilitate the process of separation.
