Neil Murphy, 75, of Melbourne, FL formerly of Jericho, died recently. Born in NYC he was a US Army veteran of WWII serving in Panama. A diesel mechanic for the NY bus authority, he retired in 1972. He later started his own fire equipment repair service and also was a wedding photographer. Mr. Murphy was a member of the Jericho Volunteer Fire Dept. becoming chief in the 1960s. He served as treasurer and fire district commissioner. He was a member of St. Paul's RC Church in Jericho and St. Joseph's RC Church in Palm Bay, FL. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret. He is survived by his children Gail Murphy, Margaret Faichney and Michael Murphy; his friend Katie Siegrist; and six grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was held in Palm Bay. Angelo Minichino, of Syosset, died on Feb. 13, 1998. Husband of Theresa (nee Stark). Father of Linda Smith and Bruce. Grandfather of Mark, Kimberly, Brett and Nikki. Brother of Lena Venezio. Arrangements were made by the Beney Funeral Home, Syosset. Funeral service at Faith Lutheran Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
