On April 25, the St. Paul's Angels eighth grade boys baseball team opened its season with an impressive 26-1 victory over Our Lady of Mercy. St. Paul's came out aggressive in scoring 21 runs in the first inning, sending 25 men to the plate.

Among the offensive stars were Matt Roth (2-2, double, 4 runs) Mike Rosenbloom (3 for 3, 3 runs, 1 HR), Chad Kubelka (2 for 2, 1 HR) and Alex Gencher (2 for 3) Pitching impressively were Jared Arfa, Richard Zisser, Kubelka and Rosenbloom. The entire team played flawless baseball, executing to perfection. Rounding out his victory were contributions from Marc Miller, Jonathan Korngold, Ross Goldman, Eric Welles, Chad Pearlman and Danny Lada.
