Harold Ellenhorn, 76, of Jericho, died on Aug. 1, 1998. Born in Brighton Beach, he was a WWII Army Air Force veteran participating in the invasion of Leyte Gulf in the Philippines. He attended City College. Mr. Ellenhorn ran his own building and home improvement business in Jericho. Husband of Shirley. Father of John Ellenhorn and Andrea Beerman. Also survived by his brother Seymour and sister Miriam Kaplowitz and his grandson Eric Beerman. Arrangements were made by Gutterman's Funeral Home, Woodbury. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. William Paul Woods, of Syosset, died on Aug. 8, 1998. He was the assistant general counsel with the American Home Products Corp. (1967-1988) in New York and was involved with many community services. He is survived by his wife Trudy; his daughter Deirdre Woods; his sons Timothy, Mark and Brian; and his grandchildren Leigh Woods Silver and Heather Ann Silver. Funeral Mass at St. Edward Confessor RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. Carol Recchia, of Syosset, died on Aug. 9, 1998. She was a teacher in the Plainview-Old Bethpage S.D. for 26 years. Daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Recchia. Sister of Angel Recchia and Roberta Ranelli. Memorial service at the Hillside Methodist Church.
