Direct Access Marketing (Purple) hung on to defeat A. Best Contracting Corp. (Orange) by a score of 35-33 in the final seconds of their game last weekend. Orange took an early lead with the aggressive play of David Schneider, Matthew Barletta and Noah Schneider. They kept the pressure on Purple till the final ticks of the clock, with fine support by Darren Sacks, Matthew Kirchblum, Andrew Tiffen and Scott Drattel.

Matthew Schlau began Purple's scoring with the first basket. Brett Podolsky, Alex Papdopoulos and Andrew Paek kept Purple close in the early part of the game with their rebounding. In the fourth quarter, the guard play of Greg Rosenberg, Michael Madar, Josh Goodman and Michael Sinn propelled Purple to a six-point lead. Scott Bauman lent Purple moral support as he cheered them on from his couch, recuperating from a knee injury. He should be back in action next week. Jeremy Goldenberg also lent moral support as he was not able to make the game. Both teams played very hard and showed fine sportsmanship.
