Office Building Ravaged by Blaze
Inauspicious winds and fire-friendly conditions fed a fierce, early-morning blaze on Sunday, May 19, that nearly destroyed a four-story office building at 333 North Broadway, on the Jericho-Hicksville border. Jericho firemen are calling the fire, which is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office and the Arson/Bomb Squad, the area's biggest and most involved in at least a quarter of a decade.

Lacrosse Club Jericho Stuns East Meadow
Jericho Lacrosse Club's third- and fourth-grade boys team stunned East Meadow on May 15 with a 3-2 upset. With a season record of four wins and two defeats in competitive Nassau County PAL Lacrosse League, Jericho has begun to establish itself as a young and aggressive upcoming lacrosse community. The discipline exhibited by Jericho both offensively and defensively helped to defeat a perennial Long Island Lacrosse Powerhouse team like East Meadow, which had an undefeated record prior to the game.
