Restoring Bikes, Restoring Childhoods
In two weekends of work, volunteers for the Syosset Teen Council's Recycle-A-Cycle program collected well over 100 bicycles and spent almost 30 hours in the unseasonably hot sun getting them in shape so they could be delivered to young Kosovar refugees.

Runners and Walkers Invited to Participate in Vytra 5K
Local women runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are cordially invited to participate in the 1999 edition of the Vytra Health Plans Long Island Women's Summer 5 Kilometer Women's Run, to be held on Saturday morning, July 10, with a new and improved course starting and finishing at the Woodward Parkway Elementary School in Farmingdale.
