On a day crackling with energy and excitement, USA Team Tennis Long Island junior competition started its season Nov. 13 with team from the Community Tennis Association of Old Westbury, The Brookvilles, Muttontown and Huntington Indoor Tennis competing in their first meet at Huntington Indoor Tennis.

The Blue and White Huntington teams amassed records of 28-22 and 33-17, both earning a match win in their division. The Blue team roster from Huntington included L. Morea, M. Healy, E. Babou, B. Kuchta and A. Rottkamp.

Old Westbury's Blue team roster included D. Jeddah, T. Lee, M. Wattenberg, A. Lanza and E. Kobak. The Huntington White team players were K. Morea, L. Rottkamp, T. Robottom, J. Viviani, M. Robottom and M. Kuchta. Old Westbury White team fielded players L. Lanza, A. Sung, K. Yaraghi, D. Rudofsky and L. Paley.

A new exciting competition between these two teams is scheduled to take place shortly, with play at Jericho/Westbury Indoor Tennis.

USA Team Tennis is a national program designed by the United States Tennis Association to promote fun, fitness and friendship through team tennis, and is open to all junior players, ages 10-18.
