Alan Gilison captured the 1999 Long Island Golf Association's Senior Championship tournament played recently at the Old Westbury Golf and Country Club.

The Muttontown resident shot par on the 6503-yard, par 72 course on the way to a convincing victory.

"Alan defeated a very strong field to capture the championship," said Joe Donahue, president of the LIGA. "He made some terrific shots. We congratulate all the competitors for their spirited efforts and sportsmanship."
