In the ninth and tenth grade division, the Nets notched their second victory of the season as they ran away from the Celtics in the last three periods, 64-47. Led by the speed, rebounding and scoring of Phil Jean (16 points), the Nets never looked back once they jumped into the lead shortly after the start of the second half. Joey Goldberg and Jared Bitter (12 points each) and Sean Matthews (eight points) led a balanced and relentless attack for the Nets as a full-court press eventually stymied the undermanned Celtics. The Celtics were led by Russell Diller and Dan Shapiro (16 points each) and the strong rebounding of Stuart Schisgall (seven points).
