Jericho resident W. Adam Mandelbaum recently wrote a book entitled The Psychic Battlefield: A History of the Military-Occult Complex which hit the books stores in February.
Writing is a second job for Mandelbaum who is also a lawyer practicing in Oyster Bay, a psychic and a former intelligence officer who served with the CIA.
Mandelbaum's non-fiction book, which was published by St. Martin's Press, details the history of psychic spying. This exposé, which shows the use of psychics and paranormal powers by the armies and spies of the world, reveals the ancient psychics who guided armies to victory, the Templar skull that empowered the Crusaders, the dark power of Rasputin over the czars, the United States psychic spy program of the Cold War and the CIA cover up of the true potential of the mind of man.
The book also includes an interview with Joseph McMoneagle, the top psychic spy for the U.S. Intelligence. Mandelbaum's book attempts to prove that the mind of man does have incredible power.
"In this book I go into a lot of detail about the CIA cover-up of what was called a Stargate program," said Mandelbaum. "That is what we called a remote viewing program where we used psychics to spy on other countries." Remote viewing is using the powers of clairvoyance under certain controls as an intelligence gathering tool.
"I wrote the book because it did not exist and I wanted to read it," said Mandelbaum. "Since it did not exist, I had to write it."
Mandelbaum will be presenting an autographed copy of his book to George Tenet, the director of Central Intelligence in New York, at a private luncheon in Manhattan on May 15. "This book was critical of the CIA, but supportive in another way," said Mandelbaum.
Mandelbaum has been interested in the paranormal and intelligence for many years. He realized his psychic powers in 1975 when he began reading Tarot cards - something he still does occasionally for some of his clients. "I started reading tarot cards and realized that I was right most of the time," said Mandelbaum.
Mandelbaum is a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, a Fellow of the American Society for Psychical Research, and a co-founder of the Intuitive Studies Institute with Joseph McMoneagle. Although he has written articles in the past, this is the first book Mandelbaum has written. He has appeared on numerous television and radio shows over the past three months speaking about his book. On May 11 at 7 p.m., Mandelbaum will be appearing at Borders Books and Music located at 425 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.
