St. Edward The Confessor School's first annual Golf and Tennis Classic held this fall at Huntington Country Club was a smashing success. Not only was it a picture perfect day to spend with friends and meet new ones, the inaugural event raised more than $37,000 to benefit the school. Festivities included a brunch, day of golf or tennis, cocktail party and dinner, along with a silent auction for various items, such as wonderful golf getaways, and raffle drawings.

The event was made possible by a dedicated group of school parents who worked for two years to put the outing together. Thank you to Tom Abbate, Bob Connell, Ray D'Alesio, Jim DeBois, John Hunter, Mike Mahoney, Tom McNamara, Ed O'Malley, Ken Piasio, Bob Spina, Mike Taddonio and Richard Zoller.

Plans for the second annual Golf & Tennis Classic are already under way. The event will take place on Monday, Sept. 17, at Huntington Country Club.
