Syosset schools are ready for student arrival on Sept. 4. Construction work at several schools has been ongoing over the summer and several projects are near completion. By the end of September the district is expected to have completed a two-room addition to Robbins Lane School, new tennis courts at H.B. Thompson Middle School and an upgrading of computer cabling and electrical systems at Syosset High School.

Throughout the year, new computer cabling and electrical upgrades will be made to all 10 schools in the district. Additional construction projects that will begin this fall will be a six-room addition to Syosset High School and a four-room addition to South Woods Middle School.

Syosset will also be welcoming many new teachers and staff members this September. The first day of school, Sept. 4, will have a delayed opening for students, and regular class sessions begin on Sept. 5.
