Dr. Leonard Montalbano, one of South Syosset's first post-WWII homeowners and a well-known area dentist in the 1960s, '70s and '80s, passed away on Dec. 29, 2001 from complications related to Parkinson's Disease. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie; and by four children, Bettina, Peter, John and Tom, all graduates of Syosset High School. Funeral services were held on Jan. 4.
