During the first session of the Long Island Indoor Lacrosse winter session, the fifth and sixth-grade Jericho Lacrosse Club shocked the top Long Island teams by easily defeating teams from Huntington, Seaford, North Babylon and Bellmore/Merrick. Having one of the few successful Lacrosse Fall programs on the Island has really helped the kids hone their skills and it seems to be paying off.

It is now the time of year to start forming teams for the spring travel team. There are opportunities for kids at all levels from beginners to veterans. There will be a sign-up on Jan. 24 at Jackson Elementary school from 7 - 8:30 p.m. There will be a clinic for first and second graders and travel teams for combined fifth/sixth grades and possibly all sixth grade teams of players with an advanced skill level. More fifth graders are needed. Please print an application from www.11753.com or call Buddy Anscher at 921-8216 with any questions.
