Four Jericho Students Named INTEL Semifinalists
Three hundred of America's high school seniors, including four from Jericho, were recently honored for their excellence in science as they reached the semifinals of the Intel Science Talent Search (STS). Often considered the "Junior Nobel Prize," the Intel STS is America's oldest and most prestigious pre-college science competition.

JAA to Sponsor Basketball Clinic
The Jericho Athletic Association will be sponsoring a basketball clinic with the Rising Stars Basketball Organization. The clinic for 3rd and 4th grade boys will be held on Saturday, January 26, Saturday, February 2 and Saturday, February 9 in the fieldhouse at the Jericho High school from 3 - 4:30 p.m. Registration can be done online at the JAA website, www.11753.com. Syosset Braves Top East Meadow
The Braves hosted the East Meadow Jets for their sixth game of their season. Syosset did not have their scoring leader Stu Coleman for the game, but they still played aggressively against the Jets and won the game 65-60, placing them at a 3-3 season record. The Braves almost had their most dominant performance of the season by maintaining the lead for the entire game, but they allowed East Meadow , who was led by Ryan Kent's 25 points, to rally in the fourth quarter and only led by one point with 1:45 remaining. Due to their tenacious defense, and senior Jason Parasco's two free throw's in the final seconds, the Braves were able to add another victory to their season.
